I
had my eye on Pixi when I started my skincare journey. Whilst most of their
products already have good reputation, another reason why I bought their
merchandise is their cute packaging: colors green and gold. On this blog, I’ll
be reviewing these popular Pixi products: Glow Mud Mask and the Glow Tonic.
Both of these cult favorites are free from parabens and are not tested on
animals.

Glow Mud Mask
Pixi
Glow Mud Mask is a 15-minute facial mask that intends to deeply clean the pores
without drying. It aims to extract excess oil and impurities from the skin to
reveal a fresh and clarified complexion.
Application:
After washing my face with my favorite cleanser, I apply the mask thinly on my
face. I wait for 15 minutes before washing it off then proceed to the next step
of my skincare routine. I use this 1-2 times a week.
Thoughts:
The mask smells good and easily glides on my face during application. On the
other note, wearing this mask makes my face look like a lousy watercolor
painting or in other words, I don’t think its instagrammable to wear this mask.
I am not very concerned though because after 15 minutes, the glow is there. My
face looks fresh and radiant even after the next day. If there’s one thing to complain
about, maybe the price because I think it’s pretty steep for a 100 ml product.
I purchased Pixi Mud Mask for P1538 in Sephora Philippines but you can get it a
little cheaper by P300 in BeautyMNL but always sold out. There’s a smaller
version of this for a lower price if you want to test out the product before
indulging into the full sized one.
Will
I buy this again? Yes!
Glow Tonic
Pixi
Glow Tonic is an alcohol-free exfoliating and brightening facial toner that
contains 5% Glycolic Acid. It purifies and removes dead skin cells while
refining the appearance of pores.
Key Ingredients: 5% Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera and Ginseng
Application:
Before serum or moisturizer, apply Glow Tonic on face using a cotton ball. I
use this once a day during my PM routine.
Thoughts: The bottle did not come in a box unlike the mask. On the first 3 days of using Pixi Glow Tonic, there had been a few small
pimples on my face particularly the under eye cheek area. I guess it’s just the
way my skin was reacting to the new toner because prior to this, I’ve been
using Son&Park Beauty Water for a while. After that short period, I notice
that my skin was gradually accepting the liquid. Little bumps that appeared on
my temple area had completely disappeared the following day. As of this
writing, I have not encountered any issue as far as this Glow Tonic is
concerned. My face looks neat every morning when I wake up. Although I was kind
of expecting this toner to shrink my pores, I understand that age and
genetics are huge factors so I should not blame it all on the product. I got this from Sephora
Philippines for P995. This 100ml size sits on the middle. The full sized
product is worth P1995 while the smallest one which is 30ml is P407.

Will
I buy this again? Yes but I will try first the other toners from the Pixi
line.
