Go Glam Nail Stamper by Spin Master - Mommy Thoughts

I believe that when a mom shimmers, she also shimmer with her kids. Last weekend, my daughter Thea picked Go Glam Nail Stamper as a gift from doing so well in school. This product is repeatedly aired in commercials in Disney channel like some kind of hypnotism to the kids. Well I think I was the one who got hypnotized the fact I was the one happier when Thea chose this over an LOL Surprise Doll. Ha! Because it’s something kikay, I knew in an instant that the three of us (including my youngest Aaliyah) will enjoy this product.

We bought this set in Toys R Us. Yes, we still have TRU in the Philippines.
Little mystery box/bag on this photo are not included.

Types of Mask That You Need in your Skincare Life

It is not a secret that masking is essential part of every skincare regimen.

Although masks have been utilized over centuries, the first commercialized facial mask was called "Toilet Mask" and was invented by Madame Helen M. Rowley in 1857. She patented her invention which she called "Mask for Medical Purposes".

Take a look at this ad:

Now that's history! The fact that it's strapped on the head, it seems that this toilet mask is not too comfortable to wear. However, I would like to commend Madame Rowley for such an amazing beauty idea which paved way for other masks to be discovered.

Now let's go back to present as I have here the types of mask you may need in your life. I also included product recommendations that are tried and tested by yours truly.

1. Sheet Mask

Sheet masks are individually packed sheet fabrics soaked in essences targeting a specific skin concern. The sheets which take the shape of the face are usually made up of cellulose, fiber or cotton and are put on the face for a certain amount of time.

Skinpotions Tomato Serum Review

I'm quite ashamed to say that I do not have a lot of local skincare products and makeup in my stash. Although, I have been using Belo Essentials Pore Minimizing Facial Wash since I was 19 years old, I feel like I have not been exploring our local brands enough.

When I was starting to look for skincare products that are affordable, I found a Filipino brand in BeautyMNL called Skinpotions. I learned that one of their holy grail products is their Tomato Serum. And since I am a sucker for serums, I immediately bought one to test it out.
