MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser Review

Do you have a skincare product that you less get experimental with? For me, it's the first step of the routine - the cleanser! You see, I've been using the same cleanser for over 10 years now and I'm talking about a local product, Belo Essentials Pore Minimizing Facial Wash. Though I'm using other cleansers which work as good but I always repurchase the same product and sometimes not finishing the others I've opened. Sorry, not sorry.

So it will be very challenging for MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser to earn a spot on the shower shelf. I received this from a PR kit sent to me by Styleright last December and after weeks of using this, I am now ready to pass the verdict.

MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser

This product has Gel-to-Milk texture formulated to gently cleanse the skin, maintain pH balance and restore skin's moisture.

Take note that this cleanser contains Phenoxyethanol, a widely used preservative and alternative to parabens. FDA declared it to be safe in concentrations of 1% and lesser in products. Brands using Phenoxyethanol: Murad, Mary Kay and Clinique.

Application: Gently massage cleanser on wet skin. Rinse thoroughly after.

Observation: The product's packaging is simple and minimalistic. The bottle comes with a flip top cap. True to its claims, the cleanser has a gel-like texture and when mixed with water it turns milky. While it is noted that no fragrance was put into this product, there is still a scent which is the same as their UV Water Sunscreen. When lathered, it does not foam up like soaps do.

It's good because...
  1. I feel my face deeply cleansed after using.
  2. it does not make my skin tight and no squeaky feels.
  3. has a low pH of 5.5 to 6 so you're certain it does not strip too much from the skin.

Even better if... Personally, I am fine with the fragrance but I think people who are scent-sitive may find it too overwhelming.

Conclusion: This cleanser can remove non transfer-proof lippies but I had to seriously rub them off my skin. I think this product will be good as a second cleanser if this will be part of your PM routine. While it is advisable that you don't use facial cleansers anymore in the morning ('cause you already washed up the night before), I still take pleasure to do the opposite. I enjoy MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser most especially in the day due to its gentleness and will continue doing so.

This product is available in Beauty MNL for P379.
