Thank You Farmer True Water Deep Toner Review

Hello everyone! How's the start of the new decade going on for you? This is my first product review for 2020 and I am featuring a Korean skincare product from Thank You Farmer. If you can recall, I provided a review of their serum last year. I honestly have high expectations with this toner I'm about to review since I found their True Water Serum a holy grail product.

Thank You Farmer True Water Deep Toner

This toner clears out remaining debris on the face, soothes and provides moisture to skin which becomes dry after cleansing.

Key ingredients:
  • Inositol - a skin-replenishing ingredient that works as humectant moisturizer
  • Niacinamide - an effective skin brightening compound
  • Adenosine - a yeast-derived component which provides anti-aging benefits.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - improves skin's elasticity and moisture
  • Yam Root Extract - known to have moisturizing and soothing properties.
  • Aloe Vera Leaf Juice - a rich anti-oxidant and an anti-inflammatory ingredient known to help repair skin

I did some research and found out that Alcohol existed as one of the product's ingredients few years ago. I scrutinized the box now and I no longer find alcohol but Methylpropanediol which apparently is a synthetic component which enhances other ingredients in the product.

Application: After cleansing face, apply desired amount of toner through a cotton pad. In my case, I like to pump the product on my palm and directly apply it on my face.

Observation: I notice instantly that the bottle is large - it's 150 ml of toner! The packaging and the scent is the same as the serum. The toner itself has a serum-like consistency. It looks viscid but still runny.

It's good because...

  1. the toner is not tacky after applied. I thought it's going to be uncomfortably sticky because the toner looks thick but I was wrong.
  2. I can feel that my skin is deeply hydrated and moisturized.
  3. the scent is light and not overpowering.
  4. my skin looks softer and brighter. Thanks to Niacinamide.

Even better if... the price is affordable for everyone. The toner costs P1299.

Conclusion: For me, this product appears more of a serum than toner. It's a bit confusing for me to describe it as a toner because it's too viscous in my eyes. I can appreciate how the brand is consistent with moisture and hydration and the toner compliments their serum really well. I say this product is highly recommendable to those who have normal to dry skin type.
