Agdigus Essentials Review

A person who says that shower does not bring happiness must have not taken a good bath in his life. This Filipino brand was created to level up every person's shower experience. Agdigus Essentials offers handcrafted products and interestingly, their name came from an Ilocano word: agdigos which means to shower. I am lucky to experience three of their best-sellers: Activated Charcoal Soap, Vit E + Aloe Face and Body Cream and Witch Hazel Facial Toner

1. Agdigus Essentials Activated Charcoal Soap

Claims: This soap aims to cleanse, detoxify and exfoliate the skin.

Price: P150.

Key Ingredients: Coconut Oil and VCO, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Calamansi Extract

Thoughts:  The soap is black and white in color and the carvings make it more attractive. I also love its refreshing lavender fragrance. I use this as a body soap and I can feel that my skin is deeply cleansed after shower. The soap's texture is a bit rough which makes an effective exfoliator too. I like that it does not make my skin dry and does not trigger eczema. This is for keeps!

2. Agdigus Essentials Vitamin E + Aloe Face and Body Cream

Claims: Formulated with oils and vitamins, this cream provides moisture to make the skin fresh and youthful looking.

Price: P450

Key Ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera Extract

Thoughts: The 50 ml cream has a rich and creamy white texture. It smells like a familiar brand of shampoo but I can't remember which. The fragrance is nice for me but it might be too much for people who are sensitive with scent. I enjoy its moisturizing benefits and the cream does not feel heavy on the face. It's also good that this product functions for both the face and body

3. Agdigus Essentials Witch Hazel Hydrating Toner

Claims: This alcohol-free toner, together with Witch Hazel ingredient, intends to prep and hydrate the skin.

Price: P180

Key Ingredients: Witch Hazel, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera Extract, Tea Tree Extract

Thoughts: The 100 ml toner is housed in a minimalist designed bottle. The liquid is colorless and runny so be careful when putting some on a cotton pad or you may end up spilling everything. I have not yet used Witch Hazel in skincare but I read it has many good benefits especially for eczema. However, I decided to skip this toner because the fragrance is too overwhelming for me.

More and more local skincare products are making their names in the industry, Agdigus Essentials is one of them. I think that they are a promising brand and their products are affordable to everyone. Apart from the 3 mentioned, they also offer other shower goods such as hair care and scented candles. Check them out at www.agdigusessentials.com.
