I realized I’ve been using a lot of skincare products with Centella Asiatica lately. Another one I’ll be sharing my thoughts with is this Cica Green Serum gifted to me by a Kbeauty brand Xycos.
Xycos Cica Green Serum
This serum helps with pores, acne and dullness. It’s also perfect for people who have sensitive skin.
Key Ingredients:
- Cica or Centella Asiatica - for soothing and anti-inflammation
- Spirulina - eliminate impurities and encourage cell renewal
- Avocado - to moisturize and boost collagen production.
- Higher on the ingredients list are Ceramide and Green Tea.
🔎 Observation: A handy pump container holds the 50 ml serum. It comes with a cap to avoid accidentally pressing the bottle when not in use. The fragrance has a strong scent of Tea Tree in combination with Lavender oil and to me, it resembles Grandpa’s perfume. The serum is concentrated but feels lightweight and a bit runny. My skin can tolerate alcohol in skincare but people who are sensitive with it must take note that this product has one.
✅ It's good because...
- it gets absorbed by skin well.
- it doesn’t leave a sticky residue.
- my skin feels so hydrated after using this serum.
- it helps calm redness on my skin.
❗️ Even better if... I don’t like how it smells. I have pretty much strong tolerance with fragrance but the scent of this serum lingers and puts me off.
✨When it comes to the effects on my skin, I am satisfied with the serum’s moisturizing and soothing claims. But sadly, its overpowering scent prevents me from using this more often in my routine. Xycos Cica Green Serum costs around $20 at www.xycos.com. I am interested to try more products from the brand so I’m hoping they will be accessible to my country soon.
❓Xycos is a sister brand of Coxir and Skinhouse. Have you tried anything from these brands?
